Great minds don't all think alike

Every individual has a will and soul, so as the ability to think and act.
There's a aphorism saying, "Great minds think alike"

Nice to hear. Agreed at times too! But what's so great in thinking the same what others think. People also agree to appreciate the unique ones too, so that they get copied again.
But, we can be sure in one particular point that people seldom step-down from the idea they own with pride, and rather strongly oppose others' perspectives. One might have some fancy, ofcourse everyone might! One can have a pleasing opinion on some personality on whom many has not.  Similarly one may hate a team which the entire earth support wholeheartedly. Sad is their conditions. Majority wins. Isn't it? We have democracy to serve the root cause of the foreseen victory.

When I say about democracy, I got to remember Mr.M.K.Gandhi (Don't question me on the relevance). Lets consider the Gandhi-Godse sensation. Many address him as 'Mahatma'. Many worship him a deity. We have accepted him as The Father of our nation. On the other hand, we condemn Godse. We reject any kind of reverence that Godse and his family deserves, getting granted.

All these are done, just because he assassinated the so called Mahatma.

Sorry to ask you, what do we know, as a generation with a gap of 5 decades now late from the issue we speak about. We read about Gandhi more and more. Being loved many masses, only good about him comes out to society to read. His staunch followers will restrict his other side to be brought to light, and we as readers know this too, and console ourselves that

'Everyone loves Gandhi, and so do I'.

Similarly the green side of Godse never comes out to libraries from the everlasting dark.
1. Gandhi used to sleep with teenage girls. There are archives where the girls admitted the same. Gandhi used to justify this as the test for his Brahmacharya.

2. Gandhi used to call for hunger strikes very frequently. He sat with public at days and spend nights at Birla homes.

3. We admire his simplicity. Haven't we? But whenever he was jailed, he had 4 girls to serve him in his cell. We, the Gandhi lovers are well prepared to turn this down.

4. We all know the promises he made his mother before he was off to England. But He did not keep himself away from alcoholism. The days when he made his fortune at Africa was even more sweet. We know him more or less a reformer there against racism. But the fact is, he was there working for a renowned company which paid lakhs to our hero.

5. We say he's a man of his words. He supported Nethaji at first but then called for hunger strikes until Nethaji should resign his congress presidential cadre. He preached Ahimsa around the country, but sent Indian soldiers to be vigorous in the World war II fields in the side of Britain.

Nathuram Godse too, a Gandhian follower at his political startups, but later after getting to know Gandhi more changed his mind. He had noble reasons for the assassination operation as every other act in this world has one. Stepping onto his shoes We too might have done the same. Have a glance of his books and heartrending letters.

Let's take another popular case. History always have portrayed Ashoka to be good and Hitler to be bad. We too say the same, because we unfortunately know much about them. Both killed masses in military engagements against his own father Bindusara. Crores of lives to expand his territories, just to establish himself as a great Emperor. Ashoka killed around 10,000 soldiers and 110,000 innocent civilians, whereas Hitler dealt with public of a particular race, whatsoever, life is a life, a red life ofcourse.

Just because Ashoka threw a sponge over warfare and took up Buddhism, we accept history's point. But Hitler didn't restrain himself of this act, and history wins there too. He committed suicide. Suicide or change of mind. What stops you from admitting that they are same, with the case that we presently discuss?

Taking a closer look on this too will give us a clear picture and bring about our own distinct perspective, thereby stop loving others' fancies. The minds that think alike others' aren't great anymore. We must gather our guts to oppose everything that our mind had been opposing. Then comes the day we realize the greatness of our minds, as we too think different. Let's respect others' ones too. Analyse them. Find the true side of it. Then deal with it !
